I love teaching! To watch a beginner play their first song, or an advanced student connect technique with unforgettable soulful interpretation is incredibly fulfilling. Music is a huge part of my life. I chose violin as my primary instrument, and love the special voice and spectrum of auditory colors the instrument can produce.
I’ve been extensively trained how to play & sing during the pursuit of my music performance degrees. More importantly, I’ve studied how to teach others to develop their musical talent. Teaching is a different talent than performing. The challenge is to break a complicated subject into small pieces, order in a logical sequence, and convey concepts in a creative, unique way specific to each student’s needs.
The best teachers have a blend of both performance talents and teaching ability, while keeping lessons a bright and cheerful event for their students.
I hope to meet you at Passage Violin Studio!
